Another season done new one to begin.
One things for certain in the world of down under monster trucking we don't have a real long lay off in between seasons, the last show for the year was a cracker at the capacity filled Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and a new one about to begin again in just over a months time when all hell lets loose at the fantastic Sydney Indoor Acer Arena venue on Saturday Sept 6. The Acer Arena would have to be the Best venue in the country with so much room its like being in a outdoor football stadium but with the comforts of a indoor upmarket super stadium. This years program is nothing short of sensational with six trucks planned to do battle in oval track racing along with freestyle for the Indoor Australian Monster truck Championships certainly a date for the diary.
More great news for the monster trucks has been the new association with Sony Playstation from here on in you'll see a big presence of Sony games at our shows on the big screen ,at the pit parties, in giveaways and importantly in the new Sony play station 3 Motor storm truck that has transformed from the old Monster Patrol but don't Fret to much about M.P because there's a Brand New one on its way across the pacific as we speak direct from Richard Inman and James Tigue who have been working on Paul Shafer's old Captain America to make a very good new truck to replace this one.
We are very pleased to announce that Fuchs Oils will be with us once again next year in a big way Fuchs are very good to us and we are truly grateful for there support.
Chris George the Vice President of Amtra and Chief Steward is currently undergoing more nationally accredited courses. He is also working with various worksafes to get further recognition for the safety standards we continue to try to implement, he did a great job in Melbourne and it was great to see all the trucks being killed before each run without a single failure, all trucks will have their wheel tethers finalised within the next 8 weeks as well as the new improved race car fire systems, AMTRA is really pushing ahead with safety standards and in time I truly believe we will be the world leaders which is not a competition of who can out do who but something good for monster trucks and the spectators in general.
The new rides truck is still being held up by customs in the USA its been there for two months while they try to establish why it doesn't have a V.I.N number God Bless the USA and its customs system, hopefully one day it will be cleared, unfortunately now it wont be supported by the energy drink that made a commitment to fund it after they made all sorts of excuses to crawl out of the deal, its there loss not ours.
Next seasons looking to be MONSTEROUS yet again with all states getting a attack of the all new Monsters Tour of Destruction, September will see us attack NSW and ACT then in OCT its over the Bass strait to Tasmania before returning to NSW then November see a Queensland Invasion including OUR BIGGEST SHOW EVER ,see elsewhere for full details this will be Nov 1 Decembers Back to NSW then Jan its Both Old and NSW, February sees us head to South Australia, then in March April its over to W.A again, before Heading Back to South Aus in Late April, then Back to Qld For May then up to Northern territory in June, in between all this in early March three trucks will also invade New Zealand for a 6 show tour of the north Island so as you can see we certainly wont be sitting around, and just to top it off we have Dan Patrick building two brand new trucks minus the motors so we can retire two of our older trucks to tour the show circuit exclusively throughout the year All in all 2008 and 2009 looks like being yet another fun filled year for the KC's team also now if your trying to find us on the website you can go straight to the more monster truck friendly wwwmonstertrucksaustralia.com the old KC's will still work as well Anyhow were off to the United States now for the next four weeks look forward to seeing you all in Sydney. Best wishes Clive Featherby President AMTRA
