Event Write Up

Qualifying - 1 at a time, J Hook style track
---------------------
Outback Thunda - first up good speed down the straight but spins out at the turn, straightens it up and over the cars stopping soon after. (Clive later explained it ripped up the rear drive shaft)
Raptors Rampage - nice easy and neat pass, nothing to aggressive while the trucks still have grass underneath them.
Scooby Doo - Corey comes out hard on the throttle, turns perfectly and clears the whole car stack to top it off. (currently fastest time)
Taz - a few stabs at the throttle down the straight, sharp turn and a good run out for a neat pass.
Samson - came out hot and flying but took the turn to fast and ran wide, straightened up and rolled over the cars.
Avenger - Corey again behind the wheel, came out fast got the corner done nice but massive wheel spin hurting the time but cleared the cars all to easy.

Round 1 - 2 Truck Pairs, J Hook Style track

Scooby vs Samson - both down even in the straight but samson has the power down faster as Scoob takes it wide and only gets the left side over the cars. (winner Samson)
Taz vs Avenger - Corey was just in the zone on this pass, I didnt catch a time but looks like the fastest pass so far, clearing the whole car set again. (winner Avenger)
Outback Thunda vs Raptors Rampage - Clive said "The damage on thunda was to much to repair tonight.... but you guys paid to see 6 trucks so your getting it anyway... with only front wheel drive" Thunda came out the straight in the lead after a big jump at the start but the lack of rear traction saw Thunda sitting in the turn spinning the tyres furiously while watching Raptor roll on pass and take the win.

Round 2 - 2 Truck Pairs, J Hook Style track

Avenger vs Samson - dead even down the straight.. both drivers late on the brakes and going a long way into the turn, very close race, Avenger inches out Samson
Raptor vs Taz (fast loser) - both even down the straight, raptor make it around the bend faster and takes the win. Raptor however locks up near the end and isnt moving very fast, similar to Thunda earlier.

Final - 2 Truck Pairs, J Hook Style track

Avenger vs Taz - Looks like Raptor couldn't make it so Taz was handed the win making an all USA final, nothing will catch Corey tonight has he nails the pass again, Taz has corner troubles and aborts the rest of the pass.
Congrats to Corey who then give us a little bit of freestyle to celebrate

Freestyle

Raptor is back, ok and ready to freestyle, Corey is behind the wheel now. nice wheel stands off the car stacks and a few cross threads too from Corey.
Outback Thunda, front wheel drive and all. since it cant wheel stand off the car stacks, has to take long run ups and gets surprising air for only front wheel drive
Taz next out, getting some nice air and wheel stands off the stacks and finished it off by clearing a whole stack with a run up. definatly lookign at number 1 right now
Corey out again (you cant keep this guy away haha) in Scooby, starting off using the concrete blocks to pop a few large wheel stands, then it seems everyone forgot about a perfectly good van stack sitting there?... Corey didn't. hitting it really hard, big wheel stand and beaching the dog on top (you should have heard the crowd go nuts) Scooby hammered off and took on a few car sets with large air to finish out a fantastic run. With the crowd still jumping up and down Corey decided to encore early and take the van stake again getting another big wheel stand out of it.
after a a few side acts Corey was out again in Avenger, Corey picked up right where he left off clearing the whole van stack, then clearing the car stacks (that truck was getting some big air) then pulled some donuts on a wet patch of dirt until a lot of fire was coming out of that engine. Another fantastic run.
Samson the last truck out, getting some big air and nearly rolling too but a good save, then came some cross threads of the cars and then the Van stack which had everyone excited.. before some donuts and then pulling along side the wall near the crowd at the end.
Results: called a 3 way Tie between Samson, Avenger and Scooby so it was up to the crowd, all the older members in the crowd were all for Avenger but there was no silencing the kids and there love for Scooby. Scooby wins
